Well, hello!
My name is Jackie, and I'm a strategic content creator and digital marketing enthusiast currently based out of Boca Raton, Florida.
I’m a University of Florida graduate (Go Gators!), where I pursued my love for communications and majored in public relations. Upon graduation, I partnered with my family to launch a greeting card startup that we operated for close to three years. As one might predict, the paper products industry is a tough one to tap in to, and after some valuable learning experiences, we decided to pursue other ventures.
My next opportunity brought me back to South Florida to a social media and digital marketing agency, where I managed the social presence and digital marketing strategy for a variety of clients ranging from TV networks and nonprofits to ministries and public figures.
Developing compelling content and engaging digital strategies has always been my passion, and I sought a mission-driven company that would allow me to grow, learn, and apply my skills toward making a difference. I found that and more in my current position at Trilogy Education [acquired by 2U, Inc.] —where I have the chance to change lives through education as the senior director of marketing operations and content.
A few fun facts about me:
I’m a native Puerto Rican — born in Santurce, PR. I left La Isla del Encanto at a young age for Caracas, Venezuela, and a few years later, my family moved to sunny South Florida where I spent the rest of my youth. I'm a creative at heart and always gravitated toward craft projects and creative writing assignments growing up. Over the years, I discovered my love for words — fascinated by how we can use them to tell stories, inspire, and connect with each other. I’ve loved horses since I was old enough to ride and spent several years as an equestrian.
These days, I spend my time hanging out with family and friends, reading, streaming my favorite shows or movies, eating (and cooking) delicious foods, and traveling to new countries whenever I can—not to mention playing full-time mom to my Puerto Rican rescue Zanti, an Iggy-Dachshund mix. I love a good adventure, from skydiving and zip-lining to exploring nature and cliff jumping. I'm a sucker for Highland single malts, South American Malbecs, and Prosecco.
True to my roots, I enjoy the beach, warm weather, dancing, and anything spicy.
